Spanning 220 sqm across two floors, plus a tropical garden and a roof terrace, this Ishigaki island villa rental is designed for families and groups who want both shared conviviality and personal privacy. Each floor functions as an independent unit, giving larger groups the comfort of their own space while sharing the villa’s exceptional outdoor areas.
The ground floor is a lofty, light-filled space with exceptionally high ceilings (3.6m) and a large open Living/Dining/Kitchen area. Fully renovated and equipped, it functions as an independent 2-bedroom apartment — ideal for one family or group within the larger villa. The front terrace opens onto a shaded lawn with palm trees and colourful tropical flowers, perfect for relaxing in the hammock. A badminton court at the front doubles as a volleyball or mini-tennis court. At the back, a large brick barbecue and a passion fruit pergola create the perfect setting for outdoor evening meals.
The upper level is a cosy, independent unit with its own fully-equipped kitchen. The living room opens into a Ryukyu-style tatami room, filled with natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the garden and Mount Omoto. Ceilings rise to 3.3m, giving the space a rare sense of openness for Ishigaki island accommodation.
The roof terrace is the crown of the villa. Perched between the East China Sea and Mount Omoto — the highest peak in Okinawa — it is the ideal spot for sunset dinners, evening barbecues (Weber BBQ included) or stargazing from the hammock. It is exclusively reserved for villa guests.
Minami Banana is located in Fukai, on the northern coast of Ishigaki island, within the Yonehara national park area. The villa faces the East China Sea, with direct walking access to one of the island’s finest beaches. Yonehara Beach, renowned for its snorkeling and sea turtles, is just one minute away on foot. Snorkeling equipment is provided at the house, along with a convenient outdoor shower for rinsing off after your swim.

ADDITIONAL RULES
From May 1st to August 31st, flying termites are hitting the island on some nights. Please do not open windows after sunset, even with the insect nets on. Termites entering the house may settle and cause great damage.
